The Zhas Maman project was developed in accordance with the instructions of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2019. The main goal of the project is to modernize colleges in the 100 most demanded professions and introduce international experience in training qualified specialists. In 2020, the Almaty Service College was selected to participate in the Zhas Maman project, the project was implemented in 2020-2021.

When choosing equipment, first of all, the requirements according to WorldSkills standards were taken as a basis, and secondly, the requirements of the labor market. An analysis of educational programs was carried out for compliance with production requirements, a list of necessary equipment for the college was determined, a project for placing equipment was developed jointly with employers, within the framework of the approved Methodological recommendations and equipment requirements for the Zhas Maman project

For the Almaty College of Service Maintenance, participation in the Zhas Maman program will allow even better training of specialists in demanded professions in the labor market of the region in accordance with world standards, modernization and equipping with modern educational equipment will create favorable conditions for ensuring stable and sustainable development of the Competence Center.
